Inglenook Tile Design :: Springle 2x2" Accent Tiles

These diminutive tiles were handmade from antique Springle molds, which have been in our family for generations. Springle are a traditional German cookie, typically anise flavored, that have a wide range of pictures pressed into the dough. As tiles, the springle accents have a look that is a cross between German handicrafts and Art & Craft movement style, and add a bit of color and whimsy to backsplashes or any installation with Inglenook tiles. The 2x2" size fits perfectly into combinations with the 2x4" and 2x8" brick tiles, and can be placed into the center of pinwheels with the 4x8" size. How ever you use them, these playful little tiles are sure to liven up your installation!
